How long does a website take to build?

There are lots of factors that impact on the time in which a website can be built. But if all the content is there and images are ready, then it's just a case of putting it all together and you can therefore expect a new website within 4-6 weeks.

I already have a domain name (website address), how do I point it to my new website?

You will need full access to the domain company who you bought your domain name from. I can tell you the information you will need so that your domain name points to your new website, or you can give me access to your domain host and I can do it for you.

Can you build me a website on another platform like WordPress?

At the moment I only use the Squarespace platform. This keeps costs down, make the process a lot quicker and it's also so easy to use so I'm keeping things simple by only offering websites on Squarespace.

Is there a limit to the number of products I can sell on my website?

No. You can sell as many products as you like, there is no limit.

Can people pay with a credit/debit card on my new website?

Yes. You will need either a PayPal or Stripe account which both enable you to accept payments with a credit or debit card. Your account can then be integrated into Squarespace and is a really simple process.

I already have a website, will moving to Squarespace affect my search results?

There is a common myth that Squarespace sites are not great where SEO (search engine optimisation) is concerned. However, this is untrue. By entering key words on images, using tags throughout the site and also setting up 301 redirects, this will help you maintain your search ranking.

Can you do SEO work on my website to enhance search results?

See above. However, I am not an SEO expert but I can do basic SEO as detailed above.

Can I keep my existing email address?

Yes. An existing email address will be hosted with your domain name provider and therefore you can continue to use it.

Can I keep my existing domain name?

Yes. We will just need to point it to your new website via your domain host (see above about pointing it to your new website).

Once my website has gone live, are you available to support me?

Of course. Once I transfer full ownership over to you, I will remain a 'contributor'. This means if you feel you have broken something then I can quickly login and put it right. If you're requiring more work to be done that will take a bit longer, then I can let you know how long it's likely to take and I charge £25 per hour.

What is the payment process?

Once you're ready to go ahead, I require a non refundable booking fee that will secure me to build your website. The final balance is then payable just before we're ready to go live with your new website.
